By introducing professional background knowledge, Filip gained significant experience, especially in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and related technologies.

His professional path is full of a series of specialized courses and training that allowed him to expand his skills in the domain of unmanned aerial systems and rescue.

Key certificates include “International Search and Rescue” and “Specific Operation Risk Assessment for Unmanned Aircraft System” at JAA TO in the Netherlands, and “EASA Open Category A1/A2/A3” at the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency.

Filip Biočić

Through his position as an instructor of unmanned systems in the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, Filip gained a deep understanding of operational protocols and procedures related to UAS. He transferred his knowledge through police, customs, and civil protection training. His active participation in various projects and conferences, such as the EENA Drones & Public Safety Summit 2018 and the Drone Fest in Osijek, shows his commitment to sharing knowledge and best practices with industry colleagues.

His experience stands out in the analysis of damage caused by the 2020 Zagreb earthquake, where his team successfully identified over 800 dangerous spots on roofs and houses, which highlights his expertise and ability to manage missions with a significant impact on the community.

Filip, as an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) expert with many years of experience, continued to develop his professional competencies through a series of certified educational programs and practical engagements in various operational scenarios. His expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of activities related to unmanned aerial systems, including operational management, aerial photography, risk analysis, and the development and implementation of educational programs. His knowledge was specially developed in the field of public safety.

With a vision to further work in order to promote the safe and effective use of unmanned aerial systems in various operational scenarios, and to contribute to the development of norms and standards that will enable better integration of drones into airspace and operational processes, Filip continues his professional development in this dynamic and innovative sector.

Alan is a long-time expert in the preparation of data for geographic information systems (GIS) with a special emphasis on the use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS/UAV).

His career began in 2006 at the Croatian Forests Ltd (CF), where he assumed the role of an expert in data preparation for the geographic information system.

Over the years, Alan has developed extensive knowledge and skills in the collection, processing, and analysis of drone data, including RGB, LiDAR, and multispectral imagery.

His expertise includes the creation of digital maps in GIS applications and 3D models from drone footage, as well as updating and analysis of spatial and non-spatial data.

Over the years, Alan has developed extensive knowledge and skills in the collection, processing, and analysis of drone data, including RGB, LiDAR, and multispectral imagery. His expertise includes the creation of digital maps in GIS applications and 3D models from drone footage, as well as updating and analysis of spatial and non-spatial data.

Alan is also responsible for uploading data to CF spatial services and communication with relevant services related to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, such as CCAA and CroControl. Management and maintenance of the database of remote pilots and aircraft in the Croatian Forests Ltd system. also falls under his domain of responsibility, which demonstrates his organizational ability and technical expertise.

His technological knowledge was further expanded with a series of certifications and courses, including “Photogrammetry for Product Design and AEC” at LinkedIn Learn, Certificate Category 1 Thermographer at the ITC Infrared Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden, “ICAO-ITP Competency and Licensing of UAS Remote pilots ” and “UAS OPS Professional operation of Unmanned Aircraft System” at the JAA Training Center.

Tomislav is an experienced expert in analytics, geographic information systems (GIS), and applications in the domain of emergency services with extensive work experience in establishing, maintaining, and upgrading GIS systems and related applications.

He progressed in his work as a specialist in analytics, GIS, and firefighting applications in the Croatian firefighting community.

Responsible for various aspects of GIS systems, spatial and non-spatial analysis, creation of situational maps, development and improvement of firefighting applications, as well as education of firefighting system stakeholders.

He holds many certifications that further confirm his expertise, including certifications in the fields of photogrammetry, 3D modeling, route planning, and optimization, as well as various certifications related to rescue operations and management of unmanned aerial systems.

Some of the key certifications include “Customized Int’l Search and Rescue (SAR) Operations”, “Search and Rescue (SAR) On Scene Coordinator / SAR in Case of the Aviation Accident”, and “ICAO-ITP: Competency and Licensing of UAS Remote Pilots (European Categories): Virtual Classroom” with JAA.

Tomislav is also the head of CMRS search operations with the experience of leading a large number of people, an unmanned aerial vehicle operator with CCAA: A1/ A2 / A3 certificates, and an instructor for the use of GIS in search operations at CMRS.

His experiences in fieldwork in major accidents, as well as leading large groups of people as a tour guide, demonstrate his ability to effectively communicate, organize, and lead in different circumstances.

Josip is an experienced firefighting expert with impressive years of experience in firefighting, protection, and rescue, as well as in specialized areas of urban and mountain rescue.

He gained a deep understanding of managing firefighting and rescue operations in different circumstances.

Josip is particularly skilled in rescues in specific conditions, including rock, winter, and speleological conditions, wild water and flood rescues, helicopter rescues, as well as the use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in search and rescue.

Josip Kraker

His specializations include depth and height rescues, hazardous materials accidents, positive pressure ventilation devices, traffic accident rescue, confined space firefighting, and the use of UAS in search and rescue.

Josip is also a long-term volunteer in the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (CMRS), where he spent 18 years. For the last 8 years, he has served as the head of the CMRS Požega Station. His leadership and commitment stand out through his ability to successfully manage and lead teams in challenging and unpredictable rescue situations.
